Filums

One of the great advantages of not having to turn up to work everyday is the extra time I have had to watch films.

This morning was spent at the excellent Lexi cinema in Kensel Rise. This wonderful independent cinema has mother and baby screenings on a Monday morning and they are cheap as chips. This mornings screening was The Tree of Life.  This film is perhaps one of the most beautiful pieces of cinema I have ever seen. Beautiful cinematography along with an excellent cast and a very moving script. This was helped along by the very beautiful Messrs Pitt and Penn who were both on fine form.

The Lexi seats only 75 people when full. The sight of mothers with babes in arms giggling their offspring whilst trying to absorb this rather thought provoking and demanding film brought a smile to my face. It is a rare treat for us mothers to be able to take our babies somewhere that is considered an adult area and not to be made to feel as if we are inconveniencing others by our presence. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and cannot wait until the next opportunity to attend.
